What a shame Cat Power is not going to come to play in Europe in the near future. I strongly feel that the audience in London, Paris, Berlin or Prague would appreciate her gig a lot (ask David Byrne about his 2005 gig in Prague - was an awesome success (which came to David - while still on the stage - as a pleasant surprise!).

i think i read in an interview that she read and loved Carson Mccullers and David Johnson books. i'm currently reading " the heart is a lonely hunter" by Mccullers...I' ve already read her short stories, they're BEAUTIFUL!!

She still maybe playing shows as she has annonced U.S. dates i'm sure at some point Chan will visit England, France and the like.

It's Denis Johnson. Chan has mentioned liking him in an interview she gave.
"Already Dead; A California Gothic" is a good book by him...
