Mission of Burma
Sat July 1 8pm Concert
This pioneering Boston band defined early '80s post-punk with their single studio album (the seminal Vs.) and ferocious live performances. MOB's explosive guitar-driven sound, brainy lyrics, and weird tempo changes inspired the likes of Hüsker Dü, REM, the Pixies, and Nirvana. They disbanded in 1983 but came roaring back with 2004's exceptional OnoffON. The brand new The Obliterati is as vital as anything they've ever recorded.
Doors open at 7 for food from Lickety Split and full bar.
Courtyard C or Hunter Center
Tickets: $22 adv/$26 day of show
