miwa - do you guys have estimates on about how many tickets will be given out at each location? just trying to guess when and where i should arrive.
(i'm debating whether to bail on work in the morning to try for noon tix, on the odds that the line will be shorter then. but i have a bad feeling this isn't gonna work out for me.)

success! and i only had to wait in line for 45 minutes or so, they actually started giving them out early. (presumably they did a headcount and were already maxed out.)
in case any one potentially trying at 5 PM is interested, i called around this morning and the park slope starbucks had 500 pairs and the woolworth starbucks had 700 pairs. i imagine the astor place and battery park locations will be in that range as well.

the show was fantastic. first off, as soon as Belle & Sebastian were about to come on stage, it started to downpour. and the lawn, filled up with people who had waited for hours at (as Stuart called it) "some coffee shop" for tickets, now turned into a sea of umbrellas. Luckily, the rain stopped pretty soon after it started, and the soundcheck commenced once again. B&S finally came on and proved to be (of course) well worth the rain ...
they played (this is what i remember at least..):
I Fought in a War
Another Sunny Day (Stuart was afraid this song would tempt something... aka more rain.. but it soon turned into quite a sunny day!)
The Model
Sukie in the Graveyard
Don't Leave the Light on Baby
Le Pastie De La Bourgeoisie
Jonathan David (stuart: "i like that situation... two ladies and a man. ..*pauses* .. i don't mean in a sexual way, though. just in conversation.")
If She Wants Me
The Wrong Girl
Funny Little Frog
If You're Feeling Sinister
Lord Anthony
White Collar Boy
I'm a Cuckoo
Your Cover's Blown
Dirty Dream Number Two (Stuart said our independence was riding on this song and was dependent on whether an audience member could say the lyrics right... the person forgot some lines, but he granted us our independence anyway... yay)
Sleep the Clock Around
Encore:
Boy With the Arab Strap
During the show, Stuart also said that we should all take over "your leader" .. everyone cheered. also, at one point in the show, he had an audience member apply mascara on him, for "goths have to be doing something right. goth never dies. they're like cockroaches."
overall, it was a fabulous show and i had a blast and a half.

Wow. What a great selection, too. Thanks for all of that info! Have you heard of any other good tours that recently passed / are starting up?
