The first 3 Chavez MP3s have posted (all are the remastered versions from the upcoming box).

For those new to the band, check out "The Guard Attacks/Unreal Is Here," tracks 2 and 3 from 1996s's 'Ride The Fader,' now tracks 2 and 3 on the second CD of 'Better Days Will Haunt You.'

For fans who might have missed the 1995 CDEP, check out the awesome "You Faded," one of the non-album B-sides from the 'Pentagram Ring' EP... now track 13 on the first CD of the new box.

now, I say, this could just be the placebo effect after hearing the word 'remastered' but I gotta say, I'm surprised at how good and crisp the mp3s even sound. I am looking forward to this release a lot.

I'm still so sad that I lost both my Chavez CDs in the great CD black hole that is "college dorm living", I'm getting more and more excited about this hearing these songs again...

Good ears - they really did a great job. Digital mastering has improved by leaps and bounds since the mid-'90s, and these 2 records in particular really benefited. "Crisp" is such a great word (in general and in this specific case).

Patrick, I can't wait. Just today I was on a radio show and we played "Hack The Sides Away" and I began to sorely miss my long-gone CDs all over again, and I know Ohe's got this shit wrapped up tight, I'm sure it'll be awesome. Its really the dream job.
