is that I can never sort out what they're saying, like,I love this new album, but I can't understand the words at all. I can still understand only about 1/2 of Mass Romantic, and that's only after seeing them live. anyone want to write up the lyrics for/with me?

So I'm assuming one of these things is true (or maybe both):
1. The CD's don't have lyric sheets
2. You're one of those people who gets all their music from kazaa and who thus doesn't actually SEE the packaging
...cuz BOTH LP's feature full lyric sheets.
"Sing all hail, what'll be revealed today..."
Indeed.

the c.d.'s don't include the lyrics.

...now it makes sense. Wow, that really sucks.
...aah, who am I kidding? I LOVE it when bands/labels give the vinyl consumer a little something extra!

They should've used one of those pics for a centerf... er... GATEfold sleeve! (Yeah, that's the ticket!)
I feel like my first two postings have made me look kinda like a jackass. Sorry...

So... are the lyrics really included with the vinyl versions of Electric Version and Mass Romantic? I wonder how I could obtain a copy of the lyrics....hmmm...
(I've already scoured the net!)

Yes, the lyrics really ARE included. While I don't feel like transcribing them all word for word, I suppose I wouldn't mind answering questions about selected, hard-to-understand passages. Just ask...

How about a song a week??? Or better yet, do you have a scanner??? I would be indebted....

Tried using the scanner, but... Okay, first one's free, kid:
Mass romantic fool wears Foster Grants, his books on tape ring true, like everyone wants to say "I love you" to someone on the radio. The first voice in the hollowed stars, now the one true loves, and author of "My Life Among the Kids Who Go to Shows." This is not the way. In the streetlight dawn, this street turns on. Mass romantic fool, separated by sheets when the curtain calls you, speaking on the themes of stolen virtue missing from the radio. Now this romantic duel is into the streets, bon appetit, you've eaten me alive you realize. This is not the way. In the streetlight dawn, this beat turns on. This boy's life among the electrical lights.
And that, dear friends, is a word-for-word transcription. If you're good, more will follow.

Did you already hook Marlowe up or did you leave him hanging? Wasn't sure if he didn't pester you enough or if you PM'd him some lyrics. Oh well much thanks for the first edition. I had an idea of the broad strokes, it's the details I didn't have. Getting lyrics from you was the main reason I broke down and registered on this board. I'd been lurking around for ages, though.

I've got 5 yr. old kids singing along to the chorus on "Chump Change." It's a beautiful thing.
