the Smashing Pumkins line was questionable, but other than that, hopefully this will turn on a new generation to the Men of Chavez

I won't deny that there's certain moments of similarity between Chavez and SP's guitar riffs, but you know, that's OK. Hum I can hear as well.

well i haven't read the PF review, but as someone who missed them the first time around (doh!) and has just received BDWHY i'd say upon the first couple listens that they sound more like a melding of Shellac and Fugazi to me. melodic but noisy and distorted as well. . . needless to say i'm really diggin' it.
