Couldn't find Laura's show yet, but did stumble across a podcast download of an excellent live set done by Carrie Rodriguez - she's done 3 duet albums with Chip Taylor (remember I sent you them on cd as trade for a couple of live Laura sets last year?) but has now branched out on her own with a solo album 'Seven Angels on a bicycle'.

I managed to catch Chip & Carrie play live back in Novemeber where she played some of the tracks off her album. If you've never heard her stuff before, then here's an hours's worth of her songs interspersed with interview for free!

Just been listening to some of the songs on Carrie's website. They sound very good. No Laura Cantrell, but I've never heard anyone else who comes close.

Sticking with the Carrie theme for a while longer... ;)

Carrie's coming to the UK in May and I've just got tickets for her Wolverhampton gig on Fri 4th - looking forward to seeing her with her band.

Meantime she's warming up for the UK with a series of shows supporting Lucinda Williams in the States from April 11th, http://www.myspace.com/carrielrodriguez has more info.
