The video fits the song well. I sometimes get the feeling that Interpol may take themselves too seriously.

i think the video fits well too. the night exposure shots look terrific. about them taking themselves too seriously, the only member i could see being like that would be Carlos...but then again he's a goth and isn't that their whole schpeal? the other guys seem to be more lighthearted...but what do i know?! i think determanation can be mistaken for seriousness.

does anyone know if the "fuzzy" shots in the video are from ground zero in new york?

They are not. The video was filmed on the West Coast (and the song was written before 9/11 - no connection intended in song or video).
