Look for the bright pink die-cut cover.

I love the coupon idea - hopefully the retail outlest will honor them. I bought mine at the beloved Newbury Comic in Boston.
Is this a plan for the future?

Retail outlets will honor them! Including Newbury.

Is the EP only on release in the US? It's not showing up on the distributor's listings over here, though Mosaic is.

Sorry, should have put European release date on the forums and the page... I think it's February 19. I will ask Mike to weigh in.
Odd that Mosaic would be showing up and not the EP though...

The EP is not being released generally in Europe, though a few have been released to indie stores in the UK.
You can, however, order it directly from Matador UK from February 19th by emailing:
mailorder@almaroad.co.uk
Just saw the cover art for Mosaic. Who's responsible? I like it much.

Designed by Antonia, who also designed the EP and all the band's artwork (and who has just finished art school in Melbourne).

She has also designed 3 amazing posters for the album... we'll have links to those shortly.

Wow, this EP is killin' it. First off, the die-cut cover? sick! I really love the way it looks and feels, captures a very nice vibe.
Then, more importantly, the band is tight, really like the intensity and weird coldness that still doesn't feel impersonal. I'm really looking forward to the LP!

I was hoping you'd enjoy this one tino... thanks for the good vibes.

A pity it's not getting a proper release over here given that singles/ep are still a relatively strong market in these parts.
I managed to track one down, but it'd be nice to see it on the racks what with that "BUY ME" artwork!

Mine came in the post this morning - couldn't resist a surreptitious listen at my desk while the office was kind of quiet... Will admit I wasn't crazy about the mp3 posted at first, but have done a complete u-ey and am totally sold. It's great to backtrack and find you love music you didn't initially connect with. Can't wait for the album.
Also, more props on the artwork. I was expecting a die-cut slipcase, not a digipack with card pasted on the back (I'm sure there's a technical term).

Fiona, you rule for ordering even when you didn't like the MP3! This does show the importance of sound quality (and presentation), doesn't it...
I don't think there is a technical term for the design of the package actually. It came out of Antonia's brain...
Btw I think CWNN are carrying it. They're the only ones who are...

Well, let's not forget that I am a girl, and hence susceptible to buying stuff that looks pretty - as evidenced by the several pairs of lovely shoes and sandals I own in which I can walk no further than 50 yards before pausing and grimacing!
I was going to post this in The Ponys thread, but seeing as Mosaic is probably the next Matador release in Europe, here is perhaps more appropriate. Apparently the CWNN network now operates only within the UK, i.e. shops located in Ireland can no longer participate in the scheme (or so I'm told). This may be down to Vital now having a Dublin office.
However I did bring up the subject of the Buy Early Get Now initiative at my local/preferred shop and they mentioned that Vital (Ireland) is trying something similar involving physical media as bonus material, though it's not necessarily tied to the band/label the pre-order concerns. I won't go into specifics here as it may be an arrangement unique to this retailer but it seems there's definitely a willingness on the distributor's part to work in partnership with specialist shops to bolster real-world-store sales/capitalise on new-release status. (God I hate sounding like I'm at work when I'm not).
So hopefully should some arrangement come to be made with Vital/CWNN, it'll be possible to expand to include both the London and Dublin offices. The appetite would appear to be there on both the wholesale and retail sides!

Thanks Fiona, I've asked our London staff to respond in more detail. We do work with Vital.
I think the next European release is actually The Ponys... followed by LOD Mosaic.

Fiona,
we are working on replicating the Buy Early Get Now system in Europe and will probably start with the UK and Eire. The first steps will be via mailorder and as soon as we can get the retailers tied in we will. Do you want to pm me about your "local/preferred shop"?
cheers,
Mike

Road Records here in Dublin and Piccadilly Records in Manchester both got the Love Of Diagrams ep in last week/end so no one in either city has any excuse!
