vinyl only means no download?

I purchased the expanded album on vinyl and happily accessed the mp3 files.

However, the vinyl only track wasn't in the download package.

Was this a conscious decision? Or are the download files just a rip from the CD version?

(I just looked on itunes and it's an itunes bonus....it seems like I should get a download of this song since I bought the vinyl!)
