Try Road Records - they may still have some. You'll have to call in to the shop, they don't hold on to tickets.

Did you try Mr. Itchybollix in the thread below?

I wasn't at this gig myself, but several friends were, and every last one of them found it to be utterly disappointing. Similar to stories I've heard about other recent gigs, apparently Chan has kinda drifted into the background, and is becoming more the singer for the Dirty Delta Blues band than they are the backing band for her. Apparently at times it was quite difficult to even make her out. Judah Bauer appears to be going too full on with the guitar volume. Jim White was apparently a saving grace. Their opinion was that "Cat Power" was losing her identity. As I said, I wasn't there but these opinions are from heavy Cat Power fans and I trust their opinions.
Any (unbiased) comments from you who have seen her recently?

Its certainly true that you can barely hear her voice with this band. I don't know the reasons for it because the live mix she had with the Memphis Rhythm band is the best live mix Ive ever heard. When she played the Memphis band show at the Barbican it had the clarity of a record. She is trying though and I think its unfair to say that shes losing her identity. Sometimes I think bad sounds mixes have more to do with venue and its engineers than the performers. You can give it your all and really try hard but unfortunately you just can't beat a bad sound engineer which is what London's the Forum has. I was in the front row and you really couldnt hear a word she was saying.

Im hoping that a well recorded bootleg shows up somewhere so at least we can hear Chan and the Dirty Delta Blues Band in the clarity they deserve.

If playin' the blues means trying to drown everybody else out with your guitar, then yes he is.

Moonpix, surely every sound engineer on the recent tour can't be getting it wrong.

She travels with her own sound engineer on this tour. I can only assume that she instructed her to keep the vocals low in the mix. No idea why.

That must be it I guess. Maybe she wants to present this as being more like a rock band and part and parcel of that live is having loud guitars and not being able to hear the vocals.

Shame though. A big part of the reason we go to see her is to hear that voice.

like i pointed out on another post, people in the front row get a really bad deal with live sound. generally there are no speakers on the front of the stage...just on the left and right. usually in the front, all you hear are the stage monitors which are mixed for the musicans, not the audience. a shame because the bigger fans tend to stick to the front. next time if you want to hear a show, move towards the sound booth. if you want to see the sweat on chan's brow and not hear much...stick to the front. easy enough...

My mates are musos, there for the music, not on the offchance of getting hit with a particle of Chan spittle, they were back and centre and Chan's vocal was still shit in the mix.
