View Full Version : Working on a website
Hi everyone,
I'm currently working a website about Cat Power, I've already made the design, it looks nice I think but I wonder whether I should write in french or english, what do you think I should do? I thought making a french website would be more original and would help her getting more recognizition in the french-speaking community...

Make it bilingual, or as much as possible.
Here is the website, there is almost nothing on it, but I'm working on it, let me know what you think about the design etc...

I think it will be very nice when theres some info on it.
It doesnt look cheap.
Thanks, by the way if any of you has HQ pictures of chan, feel free to email me.
And also if you want to tell a report about what concert you attended, how you discovered Cat Power, why you like her etc, or if you have drawings, that would be useful for the "fans" section :)

It would be a good idea but Im not sure theres enough Cat Power bootlegs out there to make it worth making a section for it.

Come again, whats that?
Apparently it's a cover of a Magic Bone/Debbey Richardson song.

Your doing really well, it's slowly progressed from the last time I looked...
When do you think it will be completed?
I don't know, i'm going to continue working on it as soon as I have a proper internet connexion at my new home, which should be very soon. :)

Hi Lily,
just wanted to thank you for what is already a great looking website, and also thanks for making it in English so that it's accessible to the entire world. It has always amazed me that there's no decent Cat Power site, which includes her own official site since it didn't/doesn't list the tour with the Delta Blues Band. I almost missed her shows back in May because of that, even though she was playing in my hometown.
If you ever want to add a gigography, you could perhaps use the dates from this site as a starter: http://db.etree.org/bs_d.php?artist_key=5521
It's all shows of Cat Power that are circulating. There's also special sections for:
Cat Power & Dirty Delta Blues at http://db.etree.org/bs_d.php?artist_key=33405
Cat Power & The Memphis Rhythm Band at http://db.etree.org/bs_d.php?artist_key=30602
which is more confusing to me than logical.
I guess it should be possible to extract all the Cat Power shows from that site, but I think you will need to create an account, and then add all shows to it. Then you can export it to csv. But I guess that's very time consuming, there may be a better way.
Thanks for the compliments and all the suggestions.
I'll start working on it again in the beginning of the next week so be ready folks ! :)
