Gee, that's an honor, to be chosen by artists instead of a jury.
She deserved it for The Greatest, an honest and pure piece of art, although I'm surprised they chose her over Joanna Newsom, who's been praised more by the press and in my opinion is a brilliant composer of songs. Guess CP's music just reaches out to people or something, now that's brilliance too. :)
