I'd never heard of this site before a few days ago when Pitchfork had a link to a Dirty Projectors session. I've already downloaded several excellent sessions, DP in particular, and there are a bunch more I want to check. There are several Matador artists with sessions, so I feel no guilt or shame for posting this. Their live recording engineers are quite skilled as every session I've downloaded so far has been sonically impressive.

I wholeheartedly recommend Jennifer O'Connor's session from last autumn - it's beautiful.

I second that remark! The J O'C is awesome. As is The Oxford Collapse, Oakley Hall, The Pony's, Mates of State, and Nina Nastasia. And holy shit; there's a David Bazan one up now I see....

Don't overlook the Manishevitz set, either. One of Chicago's most criminally underrated bands. It appears they've removed Casey Dienel's fabulous cover of "Cut Your Hair," but it's floating around on the Internets somewheres.
