John Stabb (Government Issue) brutally beaten

On Tuesday, 7/17/07, our dear friend John Stabb was physically assaulted, just a block away from his home, by a group of 5 teenage thugs. John will be undergoing extensive facial surgery and an undetermined hospital stay (hopefully short, fingers crossed here).As you know, musicians are often without insurance. A benefit fund has been setup to help with the bills. Younger folks here probably have no clue who John is but I know Gerard and Patrick will, at the very least. This is really upsetting.
