How many bands is this guy in? Does he tour with TNP?
I found this site (www.browndischarge.com) that says he's in some band called "Brown Discharge." Another guy from Destroyer and Tim Midgett from Silkworm are supposedly in this band too.
Does anyone know anything about this?

he doesn't tour with TNP, never has, as far as I know... the drummer sang his songs when I saw them on the MR tour.
this Brown Discharge band sounds interesting. A band fronted by Dan Bejar and Tim Midgett would be theoretically amazing, but it looks like they're both playing backup roles.. I wonder who the songwriter is.
Destroyer has become a sick addiction for me. I can't get enough of anything Dan Bejar touches...

I somehow knew you would respond to this thread. Actually, Bejar has become a rather unhealthy addiction for me as well.
Speaking of one of Bejar's tunes from Electric Version, I noticed that "Chump Change" was named "Chump Change 7. All for Swinging You Around" previously. Any interesting reason behind the change?

streethawk really works for me. i haven't heard this night, but i wasn't crazy about thief when a friend played it for me recently. there's something about how frequently he uses that strummer quote in songs (phony beatlemania)-on the one hand, it's compelling since theft is so brilliant, but when you can't anoint your god so much that you run out of oil-you only have dregs remaining.
i liked bejar's songs more on the first album and i think i liked mass romantic much more. i had hoped for a sparks cover on this album, if not a kinks or nick lowe cover. i've asked before-any plans for a single or e.p. to release any cover material?
i find that gbv disorder prevails when i listen to electric version. after about 2:27 into a song i need to move to the next one.
"divine right" should segue write into "dark wave" on a matador comp. in the future, followed by the theme to the munsters.
finally: is there any rationale behind bejar not touring with new pornographers? i know he plays out occassionally, and it might be an undisclosed problem, but i would really like to see him live.
of course, i'd like to see new pornographers come to philadelphia too, and that still hasn't been announced.

bitterfruit...
Surely that was someone entering the track titles wrong. "Chump Change" is track 6 on 'Electric Version', and "All For Swinging You Around is track 7.
Seems like an index point or carriage return was lost somewhere...
