Chan has only recently broken out of her "shell" to become a more open person, less afraid of the stage and groups... but I don't think we should be pressing that by speculating on details of her life.

Believe me, the long time members have gave me a ribbing many a time on the General Topics board about my Cat Power fandom. Dont take it so serious. Theyre nice people. Sometimes things can get out of hand on the Cat Power forum and some people come over as being obsessed sychophants. Not very often but it has happened (Im sure some of my very earliest posts came across that way).

There arent any formal boundaries about what anybody can talk about but expect a ribbing from the community if you call her the Second Coming of Jesus Christ or something or you agree with everything she says just because she said it. We want fans here, not sychophants (not that Im suggesting your one Im just letting you know so you can avoid having the shit ripped out of ya.)

Anyhow, thanks for the response. I don't think it is being sycophant to merely ask who a person is dating. Don't magazines and interviewers touch on these topics all the time? I brought the topic up in lightheartedness and the ironic thing is that the person calling me out on it was being the more possessive sounding fan. It's all good though. Party on.
