I saw the show in Calgary on July 1 at "the Whiskey". Totally amazing show. Baltimore rap-weirdo CEX opened (he was great), before the Organ played. Wasn't a big fan of the Organ, but anticipation may have gotten the best of me.
The New Pornographers delivered a flawless performance. An absolutely amazing hour and a half show that included every song that I had hoped they would have performed. A total freaking winner of a show.
Do not miss this band live. Ever.
Their t-shirts are great as well. HORSE----50 M.P.H. NEW PORNOGRAPHERS----100 M.P.H. (guy running with a martini glass racing a horse). Odd/beautiful, like the music.
It was also great to see them so amazingly well-recieved in Calgary, though it was expected.
Fabulous show.

I had a simply loverly time at the Saskatoon show, truly a great performance. The Organ were good, if a bit of a one note band. Kinda like a female Interpol I thought, though not nearly as good. But what a show by the Porns. You could record these guys live to two track and it would make a great album. Kurt Dahle is a wild man on the skins, Carl is a really nice feller who was kind enough to chat with me a little post-show, and Neko just has an amazing voice. Great, great show, totally sold out, they were turning people away at the door. Hope they return soon.

No no, 91 is my house number...that would make me 12 (I'm actually 17)...I have NEVER seen a 12 year old like "indie rock" before, let alone post on a message board about it.
Haha, I like how the question was worded.

Exactly! We're always interested in demographics... that would indeed have been highly unusual. Though I know one guy who was making his dad take him to GBV shows at 12. Thanks Squall.

oh and as for the organ, they really seemed to try their best to look as unhappy as possible throughout their set. doesn't really compliment the personality of the np's.
