According to the Malkmus website, this is the name of the new Jicks album. Any idea of when we'll get cover art, release date, mp3s?
Anxiously awaiting,
Needy in Nashville

For what little it's worth, I love the new record. It, along with his first one, are my two favorite SM solo records. I like the new one because it seems like he's acheived a nice synthesis of his propensities for melody and for jam/experiment.

Well you've certainly backed the two wrong horses in this race

Pig Lib reigns supreme still, but I'm really enjoying the new one a lot.

Big ups to Matador for putting out a very high quality pressing across the board.

Just curious as to what makes this a high quality pressing? I've only been collecting vinyl for a couple years and don't have much tenchnical knowledge of it. I've never had problems with Matador stuff. I do have some questions about recent Sonic Youth vinyl (stuff on Goofin' Records). I suppose that's another topic.

It means high quality mastering job on high quality, thick vinyl, plus just the nice packaging. I haven't seen the vinyl version of this album yet (digital promo is tiding me over til I buy it soon!), but Matador's been going nuts with the sweet heavy Stoughton jackets and other stuff design and packaging junkies like me sweat pretty hard...

After about 20-25 listens, I am now comfortable with saying that this album is not only Malk's best album to date... it's also right up there with Pavement's best. It's just really awesome from front to back.

Having finally gotten the new SM LP, I've gotta say, this thing is amazing. The music is awesome, the packaging is downright luxurious (and weighs a ton!), I'm really really stoked about this all...
