Hey everyone:
Guided By Voices fans may know me as the guy who runs the GbV fansite called guidedbyrobertpollard.com (http://www.guidedbyrobertpollard.com). I have started a TNV fansite called "The Paisley Reich (http://www.breckrowell.com/timesnewviking/)". As of now it is just a start and doesn't even have its own domain, but I have some exclusive promo photos and a couple of videos from a show I shot in 2006. I would like to begin collecting your gig photos to post on the site. Please e-mail me at the link below if you would like to contribute.

It's a start, but there's a lot of work to do. I'm going to talk to Adam when he comes to LA in a couple of weeks and see if he can provide some additional content.

I don't know if this is impolite of me or whatever, but a download of "Fuck This City" from the We Got Rocket single would be a good thing for a fansite, wouldn't it? Does anyone actually have it? Maybe even TNV don't have one because they are so incredibly cool or something, but it's worth a try.

I talked to the band when they were in town this past weekend and am told that they are going to send me a lot of photos and stuff for the site. Regarding the "We've Got Rocket" single, I think I have that and will talk to TNV about possibly adding it to the site. I don't want on step on anyones toes regarding copyright issues, but if they are cool with it, I will try to make it happen.

In the meantime, if anyone has any photos, feel free to send them to me and I will get them posted on the site. I shot a few pictures from the 6-15 & 6-16 shows and will try to get them posted in the next couple of days.

I would send a message over to Fiona, she's got some great TNV shots from when they played in Ireland that you might be able to include.

They're published under a Attribution/Non-Commercial/No Derivative Works Creative Commons licence so by all means, work away under those terms.

Sorry, I'm a little confused by the legalese in that last statement. Does that mean I can post them? If so, how would you like to be credited?

Oh, it just means you can use them so long as they're in their original form, it's for non-commercial purposes and you credit me as the photographer :)

I'm going to work now, but when I get home tonight, I'll download the photos and hopefully get them posted tonight. When I do get them posted, I'll give a photography credit to "Fiona" (unless you want me to identify you in some other way).

If you want to d/l them that's grand but it's just as easy to link to the photo's page, if you like.

I'm not a huge fan of creating external links to things like photos. Someone renames the photos or deletes them and we end up with a dead link. If I host the images, then I can always be sure of their continued existence. There is no problem, however, with creating a link to your flickr page.
