View Full Version : Chan spitting on interviewer?

Is this true? Someone told me that Chan spit in the face of some interviewer, stormed away from the interview, and then played a set where she flipped off the audience between every song.
She was nice when I met her, but she seemed drunk. I told her that I named my cat after her, and she was like "No way!!" She also signed my album and was very nice and smiled quite a bit.
I've also been concerned about some of the other things I've read in the "you are...drunk" thread: making fun of deaf people, insulting the audience, telling the audience to "suck my ass." What's up with that?
Is she trying to get in trouble? Is this all true?

hey lawerence, surprised to see you here. i was wondering the same thing, so i figured someone here had an idea. i saw her live in april and though i never met her, she always seemed really geniune and real in her interviews. can't imagine her doing anything like that.
Well thats a lot of rumours for one question.....it seems doubtful that Chan would ever be that deliberately rude to anyone. As far as making fun of her audience..the only one I ever seen her make fun of on stage is herself...she tends to ramble a lot and I'm sure a lot gets misconstrued...especially in foreign countries.

Maybe it was an accident? Haven't you ever developed a minor short term lisp before that caused you to accidently launch a couple of saliva bullets right at someone's face? I have. I was embarassed as hell too. I shouldn't have tried to wipe it off of the other person's face though. Just act like it never happened. Much easier to deal with that way.

yeah it's true, sometimes people misinterpret wiping off globs as spit as punches and then you've not only spat in their face, but punched them too. happens to me all the time. very embarrassing. and of course mocking deaf people, i mean can't they take a joke? jeez...
i have a feeling people assume things about "soft" sounding people like catpower that they shouldn't necessarily believe.
