i read in an interview that she also recorded "can i get a witness" at the same time as "good woman" (with the same two little girls who sang backup, i think).

it was so good when she sang it in baltimore.

or i would love to see leopard + the lamb or rebel/indirect sun reemerge. any of those would be enough to make me pay whatever ridiculous import price i needed to.

Leopard and The Lamb ... i still can't understand why this isn't on the album. Honestly, the most beautiful song i've heard in at least a few years. Definitely the best thing i've heard since "i'm only sleeping"....

well, the Japanese release of Malk's album included the song "Polish Mule," which was never released in another form by Matador (it appeared later on a Domino CD5).

I've just checked out Amazon for the Japanese release. The extra song only costs $18.50.

I suppose no-ones making us buy it! Luckily no-ones making us not download it from the internet either.

Here, in England it's Cat Power day today rather than tomorrow! (18th). It's also Dirty three day as well! Cool!
