I agree, and I don't even play guitar. I was looking for a price range on these over the weekend; any idea?

Not sure, but it depends on where they're made. If they're US-made, they'll be around $1300, if they're Japanese (which I hope) they'll be somewhere around $700, if they're Mexican (unlikely, but not impossible) they'll be about $400-500.
