Remastered and mid-price, in a jewelcase, exactly the same tracks.

It's quite exciting even though it's all the same stuff.

Any chance of it being re-released on LP?

It sounds so much better it's insane - it's not just punchier, with more bass, but you can understand the vocals better and hear all these background instruments more clearly - I expected a slight improvement, but it actually sounds like a remix. The things they can do in mastering labs these days...

And yes, it will be re-released on LP with the new mastering too.

when will we be able to pre-order mass romantic? there appears to be a glitch somewhere between the "buy" link and the store.

Popped in "Electric Version" today for the trip home from NY. Will "Mass Romantic" take the pole position as the best Matador release of the year? I think it could possibly be numero uno.

Can we pre-order this now? I think that folks usually get their Matador Store problems worked out via this board, but I may be mistaken.

Sorry sorry... I've been travelling and in the site transition I forgot to add it to the Matador Store.

It'll be up later today... or you can order it or buy it from the usual sources, since it came out yesterday.

Not much in terms of attention from Matador for the Mass Romantic re-ish, huh?

Not much in terms of attention for reissues, bubba, especially ones that have been easily available on import up to now. We're busy people, and we expect this fantastic record to sell itself alongside the marketing and touring efforts by the band and ourselves for the still-current "Electric Version".

The Store has been fixed - the problem was an incorrect release date.

No insult intended on the attention bit. I just thought it was a really, really big deal. Maybe it's just based on my fondness for the record.

No insult taken either - perhaps I'm feeling a bit sensitive since I LOVE the record in question also

So, how is the re-issue version of the album? Does it sound way better than the original?
