Dear Matador,
When, Oh, when will we hear more news about the reissuing and deluxing of Terror Twilight (possibly my all time favorite album)? My fellow black-sheep devotees and I have waited paitently while the other albums soaked up the glory, and now that it's soon time (oct/nov?) I hope it won't get lost in the shuffle of other band-related activities.

Well, I assume it will include:

B-Sides:
The Porpoise & The Hand Grenade
Rooftop Gambler
Decouvert De Soleil
Major Leagues (Demo)
Your Time to Change
Stub Your Toe

Groovebox Compilation Tracks:
Robyn Turns 26
Watch Out (Vinyl Only - the kinda thing that could easily be overlooked).

Live Material to pad out the second disc - including but not limited to Sinister Purpose which was a CCR cover played on the tour - unless we get a single disc cop-out, or the discs aren't filled to the gills.

But, It could also include:
Shagbag (only true outtake mentioned by Godrich in Rob Junkface's book; noisy seque abandonded in Spiral's Sequence)
Live @ World Cafe (Wesite, Nast, & SM w/ shot voice):
Spit / Major / Frontwards

Boy, I hope it will include:
More -all - of Malk's Demos (I reckon there are 11 or 12)
Some Alternate / Early versions, or some of the material from the early sessions in Portland. (Sprial mentions trying For Sale: PSOI)

You guys probably aren't ready to talk about this yet, but I'm really hoping those demos are on there, at least, and this maybe shines a little light on this little record, the most unloved and underrated of all Pavement's releases.

I kind of secretly was hoping they would go with Terror Twilight: egg recordy edition.

Were there not sessions done at Echo Canyon (Sonic Youth's studio) as well? If so, I would love to hear these.

I know "Whalebones" and "Encyclopedic Knowledge Of" were written for Terror Twilight, maybe there's some full band versions made pre-Godrich smackdown

Terror Twilight is a great album and really holds up well

Don't forget the 1999 Peel session.

If they're hurting for tracks to fill up the discs, they could do much worse that add the acoustic Great London Radio March 12, 1997 set:

1. Feed 'Em To The Linden Lions
2. Love Is Lies (Buzzcocks)
3. You Are A Light (my favorite version of this track!)

Is that the one with the "You are a sprite drinker" lyrics?

Lemme see.... how about "I am the Pepsi representative and you are a Sprite who stole me from the cab"?

I'd also like to know. My love for Pavement is at an all-time high, and being a younger guy (18), I bought every record long after they were released. Terror Twilight is the only one I don't have, and I've been trying to hold off until the big fancy reissue, but it's getting more and more difficult every single day. I've just watched the videos for the singles every single day, and it's killing me in anticipation.
